About
About Me
I am a recent graduate from Northeastern University with a BS in mechanical engineering and a minor in experience design. I am 23 years old, and I’ve lived in the Boston area my whole life. I am passionate about nature; in 2017, I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail, and since then have been searching for ways to combine my engineering skills with my love for the outdoors.
During my time at Northeastern I completed two six-month co-ops at medical device companies, Virtudent and Waters Inc., and learned how to work in both early-stage startup and large corporate environments. These opportunities pushed me into the field of product development, and when I wasn’t working at a co-op I participated in Northeastern’s product development club Generate. I held a variety of positions in this club, and it gave me the opportunity to learn about teamwork, leadership, and the design process in general.
After graduating I moved home and got a job at a local bicycle shop, which has been a great way for me to combine my passion for hands-on engineering work with going outside! While working there full time in the fall I realized I excelled at sales and enjoyed the face to face interaction more than strict engineering work. At the end of 2021 I found another engineering design job that was willing to hire me part time, so right now I live the best of both worlds.
I am now looking for opportunities outside of Boston, preferably west of the Mississippi and next to some mountains. My ideal job is at a company with strong morals that would let me pursue my interests in mechanical design and consumer-facing sales.
